Dr. Vlasits awarded the RPB Career Development Award

The non-profit Research to Prevent Blindness has awarded Dr. Anna Vlasits its prestigious Career Development Award to support Vlasits lab’s research on “The role of the retina in visual contrast sensitivity deficits in Fragile X syndrome”. This award will supply 4 years of funding for our work on autism-related disorders in the retina.

As part of this award, the lab is seeking to hire a post-doctoral fellow with experience with single cell electrophysiology or 2-photon imaging to spearhead this study. We are a small, dynamic team setting up state-of-the-art experiments to study the retina located in the heart of Chicago. Interested candidates should email Dr. Vlasits with a CV and cover letter.
